Much ado about whims and fancies.

28 New Things!

(WORK IN PROGRESS)

My life's years add up to 27 now...

...which, in my ever-elder opinion, is enough cause for CELEBRATION! (And cause to get my effing arse in gear!).

So, I've listed the ways in which I wish to do right by my 27th year. Below are 28 things I hope to do before I turn 28! (You may recognize some items from last year's list :-/ )

P.S. Feel free to make suggestions!

1) Teach Bishop a new trick.

2) Ride a train.

3) Attend a faith service at a new church.

4) Write a haiku a day for a week.

5) Organize a surprise party for someone.

6) Go 1 day without using technology (no cellphone, e-mail, TV, kindle, or iPod).

7) Take an arts & crafts lesson at Michael's or Hobby Lobby.

8) Read the "Harry Potter" series. (And I watched the corresponding movie after each book, too!)

9) Learn (at least some!) Spanish. My Rosetta Stone has been eyeing me from my desk for YEARS! Ay-yi-yi!

10) Eat dinner at the kitchen table for a whole week.

11) Create a photo/poem art book.

12) Learn how to play the harmonica.

13) Participate in a trail-running event.

14) Homebake something for my coworkers. (White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies!)

15) Get lash-extensions!

16) Host a poker party.

17) Grow a vegetable.

18) Contribute a dish to Thanksgiving dinner. (Good ol' mac & cheese!)

19) Make and give away one of these.

20) Throw a tea party. How do Nilla wafer, sliced banana, and nutella sandwiches sound?!

21) Write a new short story and post it to my blog.

22) Learn to sew.

23) Attend a "Canvas and Cocktails" event. (Even though I didn't like the painting I turned out, I had a great time and would do it again!)

24) Do something home improvement-ish (Backsplash tile, perhaps?).

25) Memorize a poem.

26) Submit a piece of artwork to the town art show.

27) Learn how to arrange flowers.

28) Get a tattoo.
